Thomas Akers

Thomas Elbert Akers, 61, of Elyria, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 698 Jackson Twp Rd in West Salem. Tom was born May 18, 1948 in Cashmir, W. Virginia to Andrew Lincoln and Dora Mae Stowers Akers.



Tom has been a lifelong mechanic and truck driver .



Tom will be deeply missed by his loving fiance Theresa Reese; children Robert Akers of Medina, Cathy (Kevin) Staniford of Ashland, Aaron Akers of McHenry, Ill., Jamie Robinson of Vero Beach, Fla., Ronnie Akers of McHenry, Ill.; grandchildren Zachary Akers, Michael and Samantha Staniford; brother Ray (Vickie) Akers of Ashland, Jerry (Bettie-Jean) Akers of Lichfield; sisters Betty (Bob) Travis of Lodi, Susan Getson of Nankin, and Ronda Bragg of Ashland.



Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lila Haney.
