Jake was born December 31, 1924, in Smithville to Vernon and Day (Whittemeyer) Metsger.He married Nadine (Nash) on January 20, 1948.He was a local contractor for 40 years.Jake will be deeply missed by his children Leslie (Ronald) Garst, David (Anne) Metsker of Wooster, and Cindy Metsker of Frederick, CO.; grandchildren Matthew and Michael Metsker and Barry and Chris Thompson ; and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Louise Vanzile of Wooster.
Jake was preceded in death by his wife Nadine, brothers Emerson, Roy and Harry Metsker.
