Violet M. Alltop, 86, of Ashland died January 19, 2011 at Crystal Care Center in Ashland.
She was born July 13, 1924 in North Fairfield, Ohio to Benjamin and Bessie Mae (Buck) Stark.
Violet married Roy Alltop on May 16, 1942.
She retired from the A.L. Garber Co. after 30 years.She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.She was well loved member andwas the oldest member of the congregation.
Violet will be deeply missed by her children; Larry Alltop of Ashland, Linal Alltop of Casper, WY, Carol (Frank) Kochan of Lisle, IL, Landis (Jacquline) Alltop of Montgomery, IL and Karen (Alan) Shire of Ashland, twenty grandchildren and numerous great grand children, her sisters; Donna Stoyka and Benetta Novak.
She was preceded in death by her husband , Roy, daughters; Janice Nyberg, Virginia Kay, grand daughter; Amanda, Great grand daughter Avery Kochan, and a step brother and several sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 W. Ashland, OH.Friends may call Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.Online tributes may be made at
