Virginia Efaw

October 20, 1929 — March 5, 2010

Virginia O. Efaw, 80, of Shreve passed away Friday, March 05, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side.



She was born October 20, 1929 in Mannington, WV to Waitman and Lena (Funk) Murphy. She married Charles Efaw on July 23, 1946. He died in 1990.



Virginia worked for Mansfield Plumbing for 33 years, retiring in 1998. She was a faithful member of the Ripley Church of Christ in Big Prairie for many years. She loved collecting hummingbirds and spending time with her family, escpecially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



Virginia will be deeply missed by her childen Cheryl (Robert) Biggs and Jenny (Mike) Frost all of Shreve, Laura Kerr of Marietta, and Charles (Betty) Efaw of Big Prairie; grandchildren Bart Biggs, Angela and Larry Kerr, Pam Stafford, Charles Efaw II, Christy Brooks, Cody Efaw, Jamie Hall and Megan Harcrow; 13 great-grandchildren; and her faithful and devoted companion, her dog Odie .



In addition to her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a brother George Murphy and sister Alice Laughlin.



A memorial service will be held at a later date. Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is handling arrangements. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com .
