Walter Baker, Jr., died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Wade Park in Cleveland. ?Services will be Friday at Noon at the Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating. ?Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Wadsworth where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. ?On line tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .
He was born August 26, 1950 in New Martinsville, WV to Walter and Frances (Shreve) Baker Sr. ?He served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He worked for MTD in Valley City for 15 years, then for Lloyds Marathon in Medina, and finally for Wal-Mart.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and his F250 pick-up truck, as well as hunting.
Surviving are daughter Angelique (Jon) Elbert-Dickey of Medina; grandchildren Sara Elbert, John and Dakota Dickey; brothers Timothy J. (Ruth) Baker of Sanoa, GA and Robert J. (Judith) Baker of Medina; sisters Sarah (James) Kern of Medina, Ruth (Thomas) Surarrer of Randoph, Mary (Michael) Sadzewicz of West Salem; and his ex-wife Carol Baker of Medina.
His parents died previously.
