Walter B. Geiger, 63, of Wooster, Ohio died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at OSU Medical Center, in Columbus. ?Services will be Wednesday March 29, at 11:00am, at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Dave Marksbury officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8pm or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com. ?Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. He was born January 3, 1943 in Copley, Ohio to John and Barbara (Toth) Geiger. ?He married Judith Turns. She died in December 1996. ?He then married Teresa Stall on April 4, 1998. She survives. ?He graduated from Copley High School and numerous trade schools. ?He then served in the US Army. ?He was a master field heavy equipment mechanic with Local #18 Ohio Operating Engineers. ?He worked for Kenmore, Beaver, Kokosing construction companies. ?He attended Grace Brethren Church. ?His enjoyed woodworking, gardening, stained glass, and attending his grandchildrens activities.
In addition to his wife other survivors include; children: Melinda Van Riper; grandchildren Nicole and Joshua Van Riper; brothers Edward (Nancy) Bucksar of Copley, John (Dian) Geiger of Creston, Jerry (Roni) Geiger of Fresno, CA; sister Christine (John) Donelan of Yucaipa, CA; sisters in law Deen Bucksar of Medina, Marty (Gary) Klepper of Wooster, brother in law Jim Turns of Wadsworth; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; brothers Steve and Robert Bucksar; and sister Barbara Hooper.
Walter was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. ?He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
