Walter H. Kountz, 91, of Wooster, died Friday, Sept.14, 2007, at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster. ?Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Ron Williams officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?There will be no calling hours.

Walter was born March 30, 1916 in Wooster to Harry and Mami Kountz. ?He married Sylvia Forrer on November 9, 1941; they were married 65 years.
Walter started his career in farming, became a painter, and finally was a building contractor for many years, retiring in 1972.
He was a past member of the Moose Lodge in Orrville, and a current member of Dove Outreach Center Church. ?He enjoyed mowing with his Steiner tractor, woodworking, and working with his hands.
Walter will be deeply missed by his wife; sister-in-law June Kountz of Wooster; nephews Robert Kountz of Apple Creek and Dennis Kountz of Pennsylvania; and good friend Dana Parry of Wooster.
Walter is preceded in death by a brother Warren Kountz.
