Walter Meade

Walter D. "Walt" Meade, 73, passed away Saturday, May 20 at home. Services will be Wednesday, May 24 at 11:00 am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Jim Newton of Reimer Road Baptist Church officiating. ?Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He was born April 10, 1933 in Radner, West Virginia to Walter and Olive (Vanhoose) Meade. He married Pearl S. Bittaker on August 23, 1989. ?She survives. He had been an employee of General Motors and retired after 27 ? years. He was a member of Reimer Road Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and vegetable gardening.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by sons Jim (Nora) Meade of Doylestown, Greg (Rene) Meade of Rittman, Bill (Sue) Bittaker of Seville, Kevin (Kim) Bittaker of Seville, ?daughters Peggy (Greg) Jerome of Barberton, Lisa (Erin) Neider of Shreve, Amy Bittaker of Wadsworth, twelve grandchildren, and brother Robert (Catherine) Meade of Rittman. ?His parents, two grandchildren and one sister preceded him in death.
