Wayne Firebaugh

Wayne Firebaugh, 85, of Wooster, died Monday, June 01, 2009 at West View Manor in Wooster. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. A memorial service will be Thursday at 11am at Grace Brethren Church, Wooster with Pastors George Peters and George Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster where military rites will be held. Wayne was born January 14, 1924 in Batabourt,Virginia to George Marshall and Mary Lillian {Coffman} Firebaugh. He served in the US Army during WWII. Following the war, he married Elva Yoder on September 19, 1959. She survives.

He was a lifelong farmer in Wayne County and was an active member of the Grace Brethren Church, Wooster.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife Elva, children George (Deb) Firebaugh, Sharon (Roy) McDaniel, Carol (Scott) Kantenwein, Betty (Mark) Steiner and Harold (Elaine) Firebaugh; 14 grandchildren; brothers Wyman Firebaugh, Jay (Ellen) Firebaugh both of Wooster, Dan (Nina) Firebaugh of LaPorte, Indiana, John (Francille) Firebaugh of Columbus; a sister Miriam Vermillion of California. Wayne is preceded in death by grandchildren David, Daniel and Kendra Firebaugh , a brother Lawrence, and sisters Anne Baldridge and Della Daugherty.
