Wayne Lewis

Wayne C. Lewis, 94, of Wadsworth, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Hospice of Medina County.

Wayne was born February 13, 1917 in Fairfield, Nebraska to George L. and Mary {Bryant} Lewis. He graduated from Fairfield High School, attended UCLA, and then served in the US Army during WWII. He married Donna J. Powell on November 26, 1983. She survives.

Wayne worked in the aerospace industry for 39 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Methodist church and enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife; children Kay (William) Strait and Robert Lewis; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings Richard, Alta, Leroy, Orville, Melvin, and Gladys.
