William “Bill” G. Croft, 86, of Barberton, formerly of Wadsworth, died Monday, April 5, at Regency Hospital in Barberton. He was born on January 31, 1924 in Rittman to Floyd F and Jennie M (Van Sickle) Croft. On July 25, 1942 he married Anna Mae Wallace and she preceded him in 2003. He served with the army in WWII and retired in 1986 after 43 years from Packing Corporation of America. He was a member of First Christian Church in Wadsworth.
William will be deeply missed by children Karen (Dennis) Joachim of Wadsworth and Gary (Jennifer) Croft of Barberton, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and sister Grace Simpson of TX. In addition to his wife Anna Mae, a sister Dolores Croft and an infant brother preceded William.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Singleton officiating. Friends may visit with the family one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
