William Sparr

William "Bill" Sparr, 78 of Wooster, passed away Friday, March 25 2011 at Acute Care of Aultman Hospital in Canton.?



?A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11:00am. at the Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com



Bill was born June 18, 1932 in Shreve to Kenneth and Doris (Varnes) Sparr. Bill served in the US Army National Guard. He married Marilyn Smedley on September 4, 1953. She survives.?



Bill retired from Akron Brass after 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman spending nine weeks each summer fishing in Hastings, Canada. He also enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels.?



In addition to his wife, Bill will be deeply missed by brothers: Francis Sparr, Clarence (Jane) Sparr, Merle Sparr, all of Wooster, Sister-in-law Carolyn Jackson of Apple Creek, and Canine buddies Brandy and Cricket.


Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
