Zella Mae Yoder, 95, of Auburn, GA., died Friday, February 13, 2009 at her residence in Auburn. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 2 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Charles Godfrey officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M.and Thursday February 19, 2009 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
Zella was born September 10, 1913 in Wooster, Ohio to Earnest Yoder and Florence (Grunder) Yoder.She married Harold J. Yoder on May 6, 1933. After 65 years of marriage, he passed away on March 23, 1999.
She belonged to the housekeepers club.Zella was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Wooster where she enjoyed playing the organ.She also was a community service leader for the church.
Zella will be deeply missed by her children: James (Nancy) Yoder of Bonanza, OR., Sylvia (Ronald) Crary of Portage, WI., Donald (Carol) Yoder of Auburn, GA., Carol (Leo) Christensen of Avon Park, FL., and Janis (Ray) Greenley Woodbridge, VA., 18 Grandchildren, 46 Greatgrandchildren, 12 Great-Great Grandchildren and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold J., son Harold E., sister Ruth and brother Paul.
